Don’t forget to hug your nearest “ewe” on Valentine’s Day – or every other day, for that matter… it matters.
It turns out, the market for original art changes from year to year.
As a full-time artist, I do a LOT of people-watching, analyzing, and observing. But it still has not become clear to me why visitors to one art festival will clear out the booths with their buying frenzy one year, and not buy a thing the next year.
Do you buy original art at art shows and festivals – or do you buy at galleries instead?
Why do you choose one over the other – and has your art buying changed in the past two to three years?
This weekend, Savannah, GA will be “invaded” by a flock of sheep – the Sheep Incognito flock of artwork by american artist Conni Togel.
Look for the whacky group of hilarious sheep paintings in booth #213 at the Springtime Made In The South Show at the International Trade and Convention Center.
Runs from Friday 10-6, Saturday 10-6, Sunday 10-5
Using YOUR photos (via email) of your favorite dog, cat, camel, or pheasant, I create a “cutified” version of your favorite pooch using digital brushes.
The final image is printed using archival inks and materials onto canvas, highlighted with some original acrylic brushstrokes, and sealed with two coats of UV-protecting varnish.
The canvas is stretched onto wooden stretcher bars – we can frame it for you as well, or, we can “gallery wrap” it around so it can be hung without a frame.

This is a new, rather large painting I am working on – something that made me smile…I do hope the title is not viewed as offensive, or vulgar, as my flock definitely does not want to be viewed like that.
Me, trying to work on any project after 7pm at night…not even awake enough to put the nightcap on the right end…yup.
